ERP, CRM, POS and inventory systems for the German Mittelstand: wholesalers, logistics firms, retailers and service companies preparing for mandatory B2B e-invoicing.

In short

InnoFeature Labs builds custom ERP, CRM, POS and inventory software for small and mid-sized companies in Germany. Systems can be set up to issue and receive EN 16931 e-invoices (XRechnung and ZUGFeRD) for the German B2B e-invoicing mandate, apply 19% and 7% VAT, and keep auditable records. Plans start at €46 per month with no per-user fees.

Ready for the German E-Rechnung mandate

Germany is phasing in mandatory structured e-invoices for domestic B2B transactions. Plain PDF invoices are being replaced by machine-readable formats.

E-invoicing timeline

Since 1 January 2025, every German business must be able to receive structured e-invoices. From 1 January 2027, businesses with prior-year turnover above €800,000 must issue them, and from 1 January 2028 all remaining in-scope businesses must do so.

Formats: XRechnung and ZUGFeRD

Accepted formats follow the European standard EN 16931, such as XRechnung (XML) and ZUGFeRD 2.0.1 or later (PDF with embedded XML). We generate these formats from the ERP and read incoming ones into purchase workflows.

Archiving and auditability

E-invoices must be retained for eight years, and German bookkeeping principles (GoBD) expect records to be complete, traceable and protected from undocumented changes. The system keeps audit trails and stores invoices with their original XML.

GDPR (DSGVO) and VAT

Role-based access, data export and deletion on request, and hosting in EU data centres when agreed. VAT rates of 19% and 7% are configurable per product and customer.

What German companies usually ask us to fix

Invoicing that is not e-invoice ready

Invoices are still created as PDFs or in Word, which will not meet the 2027 and 2028 issuing requirements.

Separate tools for sales, stock and accounting

Orders, inventory and customer contacts live in different systems, and data is re-typed for the tax adviser.

Licence costs of large ERP suites

Big ERP platforms bring per-user licences and long implementations that smaller teams cannot justify.
