Built around UK tax and data rules

UK finance teams are moving to fully digital records. Your operational system should feed that cleanly instead of creating another spreadsheet to reconcile.

Making Tax Digital (MTD)

VAT-registered businesses already keep digital records and file through MTD-compatible software. MTD for Income Tax started on 6 April 2026 for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000, dropping to £30,000 from April 2027 and £20,000 from April 2028. We structure sales, purchase and expense records so they export or sync cleanly to HMRC-recognised software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.

VAT rates and invoices

Standard (20%), reduced (5%) and zero-rated items can be set per product and customer, with VAT shown correctly on quotes, invoices and credit notes.

UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018

Role-based access, audit trails and the ability to export or delete a person's data on request. Hosting location (UK or EU) is agreed in the project scope.

What UK businesses usually ask us to fix

Per-user licences that keep rising

Seat-based CRM and ERP subscriptions grow with every hire, even when the software still does not match how the team works.

Stock, orders and accounts that do not talk

Sales take orders in one tool, the warehouse checks stock in another and finance re-keys invoices into accounting software.

Multi-site visibility

Branches, depots or vans each keep their own records, so managers cannot see stock, sales or credit across the business.

What we build for UK businesses

Start with a ready-made product and adapt it, or build a fully custom system around your workflow.

Custom ERP software

Inventory, purchasing, sales orders, invoicing, receivables, expenses and profit reporting in one system.

CRM and sales automation

Leads, follow-ups, quotations, pipelines and sales team reporting, replacing spreadsheets and chat threads.

Ready-made products

IFL One ERP, sales CRM, POS, logistics and distribution systems you can start using and then customize.

Typical UK integrations include Xero, QuickBooks and Sage for accounting, Stripe and GoCardless for payments, Shopify and WooCommerce for online sales, and courier APIs for dispatch. Each integration is confirmed during discovery, based on the APIs and access available.

A bespoke software development company focused on operations

Most bespoke software development companies in the UK build anything from websites to games. We focus on one thing: the operational systems that run sales, stock, finance and customer work. That focus means we start from working ERP, CRM and POS products instead of a blank page, which shortens delivery and lowers cost.

We work best with UK wholesalers and distributors, freight forwarders, multi-branch retailers and service firms with 5 to 200 staff who have outgrown spreadsheets or are tired of paying per seat for software that does not fit.

CRM software for small businesses in the UK

For many UK small businesses the first step is a CRM, not a full ERP. Our sales CRM starts at £49 per month with multiple users included, so adding a new salesperson does not add a licence fee. It covers leads, follow-up reminders, quotations, pipelines and sales reports, and can later grow into stock, invoicing and accounting links.

ERP software for UK small businesses and distributors

Distribution ERP software has to handle stock across locations, customer credit limits, purchase orders and VAT on every line. IFL One ERP covers these from £79 per month, and our IFL Distribution Management System (currently in development) adds distributors, territories, sales teams and customer credit for wholesalers.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best CRM software for a small business in the UK?

The best CRM is the one your team will actually use. Off-the-shelf tools such as HubSpot, Zoho or Pipedrive suit standard sales processes but usually charge per user. A small-business CRM like ours, from £49 per month with multiple users included, suits teams that want their own pipeline stages, follow-up reminders and no per-seat fees.

How much does custom ERP software cost in the UK?

Our ready-made ERP starts at £79 per month or £2,499 as a one-time purchase, with multiple users included. A fully custom ERP is quoted after discovery, based on the modules, users, integrations and data migration you need.

Is your ERP compliant with Making Tax Digital?

The ERP is designed to keep the digital sales, purchase and VAT records MTD expects, and to export or sync them to HMRC-recognised software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage, which submits to HMRC. A direct HMRC integration can be scoped if you need one.

Do you work with UK businesses outside London?

Yes. Discovery, demos, training and support run online, so we work with businesses across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Do we own the source code?

For custom builds, unless otherwise agreed in writing, the custom deliverables become your property after full payment. Our reusable frameworks and pre-existing tools remain ours.

Can you replace Excel and the tools we use now?

Yes. Discovery starts with your current spreadsheets, WhatsApp follow-ups and software, then we move that work into one system and migrate the data you need.
